General Terms & Conditions

During back to school season, orders are currently taking approximately 5-10 days to complete due to higher volumes of orders

All prices and products are subject to change by our suppliers.

Where a product is no longer available we will notify you before the rest of your order ships. We will try to provide substitute or equivalent products where possible.

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time, if errors or changes by suppliers render any pricing incorrect.

Savings Club

We run a savings club for our customers, we can only take payments for the savings club in store.

Delivery

We aim to keep our keep our delivery costs as low as possible while getting you your order promptly and efficiently.

We use Fastway or An post for most orders.
Our aim is to despatch orders within 7 working days within Ireland and delivery is normally 2-5 working days from date despatched.
We will hold your order until we have everything in stock.
Delivery charges within Ireland are shown as soon as anything is added to the cart.
To ensure a speedy delivery, why not deliver to your work address? If you enter a home delivery address, please ensure that there is someone there to take in the delivery (a signature is required).
If an order needs to be re-delivered as a result of non-delivery/non-collection through no fault of Farrell and Nephew, a subsequent charge may apply.
The price that we charge take the following factors into consideration: weight and size of the items, the number of items and the delivery address.
It is our company policy to re-use and re-cycle packaging where possible.

 

Payment Methods

We accept payments through PayPal, VISA DEBIT AND MASTER CARD. If you have trouble paying with PayPal please contact us at books@farrellandnephew.ie or call us at 045-431708 and we will attempt to make alternate arrangements.

Taxes

  • All prices are inclusive of any VAT.
  • There is no VAT on schoolbooks.
  • Customs and excise charges will be paid by the customer if delivering outside the EU.

Coupons

If you have a coupon code you can enter it at checkout and your order total will be reduced accordingly.

Pre-ordering Books that are Not Yet Published/ Out of Stock

In order to keep delivery charges as low as possible, we send one delivery per order.

If you are ordering a book(s) that is Not Yet Published along with books that are in stock, we will automatically hold the complete order unless otherwise instructed by the customer.

Where a customer wants a split delivery on an order, an additional delivery charge will be applied on the second delivery.

Please note that Publication dates can change and we endeavour to keep these as up-to-date as possible with information supplied by
publishers.

Collection In store

If you choose to use our free In Store Collection Service from our bookstore in Newbridge, County Kildare, please bring your confirmation email and the credit card that the order was placed with for verification.

Once everything is in stock, we will send you an email confirming that your order is ready for collection.

Once complete we will hold your order for ONE week.

During the months of June, July and August, please allow at least 5-10 working days for your order to be completed.

Customers are welcome to call to our bookstore for collection between the hours of 9am and 5.45pm, Monday to Saturday.

Shortages & Errors

While we endeavour to fill every order without any mistakes, our staff are only human and so mixups may occur.

Please check every product is carefully and thoroughly upon delivery to ensure there are no errors.

We will bear the delivery charges to exchange any books that have been sent in error by us. However, if the mistake is made whilst ordering by the customer we will replace the book but the delivery charge will be the customers responsibility.

In the event of Farrell and Nephew having to send you a replacement product, please return the original item to Farrell and Nephew within 7 days of receiving your replacement.

In the event that your order arrives damaged please let us know within two working days at books@farrellandnephew.ie or call us at 045-431708 and we will organise a replacement.
Farrell and Nephew will not be responsible for any shortages or damages not reported within 24 hours and by the advised method (email).

Returns Policy

If you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase within 14 days for a refund by post (delivery charge can not be refunded).

 

Please allow up to 7 working days for refunds to be processed.

Books can be returned in store for no extra charge, please bring your order confirmation when returning a book.

 

Farrell and Nephew reserves the right to charge the price of the replacement to the payment card used for the original order if the item is not returned within 7 days.

Goods need to be in original packaging and in a saleable condition (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact).

The returned parcel must include the original order and your contact details.

The cost of book covering or delivery charges cannot be refunded where the customer decides to returns items.

We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for non-delivery of returned items.

If you require additional items, a new order will need to be placed on our website.
Customers must report any damages by email within 24 hours of delivery i.e. scratches, dents or tears.
eBooks – Any title now sold with a free eBook code, cannot be returned if the code has been removed, scratched or accessed. All titles with an eBook code must be inspected by you on receipt.

Any code strips that have been interfered with must be reported within 24 Hours of purchase.

Cancellation or return of items purchased with a coupon may result in the forfeiture of such coupons.

By purchasing from Farrell and Nephew, you agree that a full refund with paid delivery will be our sole remedy for any unsatisfactory product(s) you receive and you waive all other remedies or actions in such event.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
