Guy Williams, a racing official in Macau, renounced exotic south east Asia to answer the call of quixotic Connemara and realise a lifetime’s ambition. He his bemused family exchanged an idyllic, pampered and salaried existence for a dilapidated ancestral holiday house on an island in Tully Lake. This is an account of his experiences as he strove to make his dreams a reality.
