Description
Alban the Cat and Sedu, a twelve-year old foundling, are brought together in an abbey near Skellig Island where many secrets hide. Drawn by suspicions and curiosity, Sedu, with Alban’s help, successfully sneaks across. Arriving at the island, they meet Cullan, a member of the Tuath Dé from the Land of the Kings.
With guidance from Brother Barnabus and new-found mentor Cullan, Sedu and Alban use a magical key to pass through a hidden doorway into the land of their ancestors. In these magical surroundings, the pair learn that their intertwined fates and close connection to one another run deeper than they ever could have expected. As Tuath Dé, they can communicate without speaking by reading each other’s thoughts. With Alban as his appointed guide, Sedu is given a quest by Cullan that will bring him to his special purpose: to find the Four Treasures. But what do the treasures look like? Where will they find them? When can they be found?
On this journey of self-discovery, Sedu must consider the knowledge and guidance he receives from his mentors and guides, learning to trust that the answers he doesn’t yet know will reveal themselves along the way. On their adventurous path, the pair have many mystical encounters with otherworldly figures, some that are a help, others a hindrance.
